Storefront Streetscape

Kensington, MD

Goal: Create a welcoming storefront for customers and a pleasing streetscape for pedestrians.

Project: GreenSweep employed a streamlined plant palette to provide visual interest and rhythm along the front façade while adding bursts of color at customer entrances. Bright pink Tonto Crape Myrtles at the building corners provide height and brilliant summer flowers, backstopped by variegated Boxwoods giving year-round green and yellow foliage. Along the main façade, Sky Pencil Hollies, Gulfstream Nandina, and Liriope have a variety of shapes and growth habits that give structure and organization to the streetscape while increasing curb appeal.
