1991
An entrepreneur at heart, Kyle, age 7, launches GreenSweep, a tiny operation where he and his brother complete odd jobs and lawn mowing, walking with push mowers and rakes through the Woodside Park neighborhood of Silver Spring, MD.

1999
Kyle purchases a used pickup truck and packs it with basic used equipment to more efficiently move between houses and expand services to more than one neighborhood.

2003
Kyle enrolls at Penn State University pursuing a degree in Landscape Contracting. He comes home on weekends to continue serving GreenSweep's residential clients.

2007
GreenSweep is incorporated and becomes a full-time operation, hiring its first permanent field employee to work alongside Kyle. Focus shifts to include both commercial and residential landscape maintenance work.

2008
GreenSweep broadens its services to include landscape design and hardscape construction, completing its first patio installation.

2013
Upon acquiring Panoramic Landscape Services in January, GreenSweep significantly increases its portfolio of commercial maintenance customers and enlarges its coverage area to include Baltimore and northern Virginia.

2019
GreenSweep employs 65 workers during peak season and serves over 600 clients across the DC and Baltimore metro areas.

2020
GreenSweep acquires Garden Gate Landscaping, a high-end design/build firm focusing on residential customers in the DC metro area. The acquisition adds capabilities to GreenSweep's service offerings and quality employees to its team.

2020
GreenSweep purchases a facility to join its field and business operations in one location strengthening its company culture and team environment. The new headquarters remain in Montgomery County, MD where the company first began.
